Why was this site created? Short answer: why not?
But seriously – for the simple reason that there are many resources dedicated to leadership and the C-levels – but not a lot for the men and women in the middle. Middle managers spend numerous years in their roles, but without the depth of resources for learning and growth. This site aims to be the go-to place to fulfill some of those learning and development needs. It is the one place to read about their various concerns.
How will this site help? This site aims to gather resources that middle managers will find useful. There are sections on Managing Up, Managing Down and Managing Self; and also critical day-to-day concerns that middle managers everywhere deal with, like project management, time management, learning and developing. And given that this site is taking off in the time of the Covid-19 pandemic, well-being is another section that will surely be of interest to readers.
Who am I? Just your regular middle manager who has been in middle management for over 15 years, and who has experienced all the concerns mentioned above. And who wishes for you success as a manager.
